So, we're excited because tomorrow kicks off the first event of Wyatt's Ride, a community project we've been working on. It's a fundraiser to help the family of a cute little boy that lives about a block from us, and it's been so fun to see how generous people in the community have been with donations of cash, time, and items for tomorrow's HUGE community yard sale/car wash/bake sale/hot dog lunch. Then on Sept. 23 (?) there will be a silent auction and dinner to raise more funds. It is so exciting to see everyone pull together and work so hard to help someone in need. It just shows the value of every small contribution- this race is definitely won in inches, not miles. So come out tomorrow (Saturday, Aug 21) if you're in the area, and thanks to everyone who's been such a big help!
An update: The yard sale made $11,000! Who does that on a yard sale? People were so awsome and very generous. It even made the paper.
